What to Love

Local Lifestyle

Cheviot Hills is a neighborhood to “get away from it all” by enjoying a purely residential neighborhood with trees lining its streets and parks and recreation centers occupying nearly half of the neighborhood. It is a neighborhood to enjoy the simple, wholesome pleasures in life, like getting to know your neighbors, enjoying a day of tennis, golf, or even a day of archery. Residents love the secluded, community-oriented feel of this neighborhood without being far from all the delights a major metropolitan area offers.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

To keep the vibe of this neighborhood peaceful and relaxed, there are little to no restaurants or shops directly in the neighborhood. However, it is a small neighborhood, and directly outside of its neighborhood limits are charming restaurants, shopping malls, boutique shops, and museums. The Stalking Horse Brewery and Freehouse is a British-inspired brewery and pub with entrees like burgers or their fish and chips, Icelandic cod battered in an ale batter, and topped with dill with seasoned chips, and sides of tartar sauce and malt vinegar.

Holy Cow Barbecue serves slow-roasted barbeque dishes like their barbecue pulled chicken or Texas brisket with signature rubs and sauces to pair with these dishes. Westfield Century City, a nearby shopping mall, hosts a variety of stores to suit the needs of just about everyone.

Things to Do

Cheviot Hills is home to many activity centers and options. From tennis at Cheviot Hills Tennis Center to soccer at Los Angeles Soccer Association and Cheviot Hills Recreation Center. Rancho Park Golf Academy, Rancho Park 3-Par Golf Course, and Rancho Park Golf Course Driving Range are popular with golf lovers. Easton-Rancho Park Archery Range and Los Angeles Municipal Sports are also close by.

In Cheviot Hills, tennis, archery, soccer, and golf are at your fingertips. Griffin Club Los Angeles is another neighborhood gem, a social club with a palm tree-framed lap pool, a fitness center with personal trainers, locker rooms with steam rooms, saunas, and a cold plunge. Their pool bar offers decadent and health-conscious menu items using locally and sustainably sourced ingredients. Cheviot Hills residents also enjoy their proximity to the Museum of Tolerance,  The Museum of Jurassic Technology, and The Wende Museum.
